in the development of every nation, sooner or later a moment comes, when the nation confronts the responsibility about its own state and independence along with the challenge of everyday life of man and the needs of generations to come.

We have formed Macedonian Alliance convinced that in that way we can make a contribution to the creation of different political atmosphere in the country and abroad, for safer and happier tomorrow of all citizens.

Macedonian Alliance is a national civil political party in the very center of the Macedonian political scene. It is a party which defies radicalism as one way of political thinking, extremism as a way of political behavior and adventure as a way of political performance.

Macedonia is invaluable to us to agree with the irresponsible gambling with its destiny and with today and tomorrow of its citizens. We believe that the real way to solve the problems is the dialog, mutual respect and moderation in accessing the ones which represent different interests. We are strongly convinced that the vital interest of the nations and citizens - independence, peace, and welfare should be a compass in every political action of each political subject. Therefore, in making the efforts to contribute to the well-being of Macedonia, we are open to cooperate with every individual, party, association and institution which have interest in transforming our country into an attractive place to live.

Macedonian Alliance will make efforts to impose a different standard in the political behavior on the Macedonian scene:

We will judge the political attitudes of the others depending on the arguments they offer.

We will insist on correctness in mutual relationships. We think that political differences (which are a normal part of every democratic society) are not a reason enough to treat an individual or an organization as an enemy.

Yet, what we do we are convinced that is for the well-being of Macedonia although we often interpret Macedonian interests in a different way.

We will strive to work on unification on the Macedonian political scene in order to provide a larger number of individuals, organizations (parties, associations ..) and programs necessary for quality changes for better life. We will pay special attention to the problems of the social and economic life which are mutually connected. Creating conditions for decent life in Macedonia and well-being of Macedonian citizens we understand this as our duty.

The new created circumstances make it possible to build politics of equal distance with the countries in the region through better cooperation with each of these countries and finding new mutual accepted political formulas and interpretation of all which is debatable in the relationships at that moment or presents unclear historical inheritance.

The stability and peace in Macedonia are inseparable from the stability and peace in the region. As a guarantee for peace and stability as well as, basis of the international political orientation of the country, Macedonian Alliance considers broadening the strategic relationship of Macedonia with USA, i.e. Macedonia to become a member of NATO and European Union soon.

We are very pleased to conclude that connected to this orientation there exists a political consensus among the major political factors in the country, not considering that in many other questions these factors are absolute opponents.

We are profoundly convinced that independence, peace and welfare are a goal of every reasonable politics and criteria of a political leadership in leading the country. We will strive to find optimal replies to the most complicated questions of the citizens through a dialog between us. We will especially insist on making the general national agreement for what is Macedonian vital interest and we will urge citizens in that direction. If we are capable to help ourselves and know what we want in politics as well as life, others will be able to help us, too. For that we must be aware that the responsibility for our destiny is ours. Therefore, we should not ask ourselves what Macedonia has done for us , but what we, the Macedonians can do for Macedonia and for us.

We start from the historical fact that Macedonia was constituted as national country of Macedonian people, i.e. the renewed Macedonian state in the Vardar region of Macedonia and within the existing borders of Republic of Macedonia with state and legal documents on the First meeting of ASNOM (National Antifascist Liberation Council of Macedonia) in the Macedonian monastery “Sveti Otec Prohor Pcinski”,

With respect for the universal natural, historical and civilization rights of Macedonian people for self-determination of their own independent Macedonian state - Macedonia,

With respect for the spiritual, cultural, historical and state inheritance of Macedonian people and all its ethno-historical territory, as well as, the fact that Macedonia is a national country of Macedonian people where holders of the state are Macedonian people; all the citizens in the country accomplish sovereignty regardless of their ethnic, social, political or religious affiliation or persuasion,

We are aware of the consequences from the division of Macedonia and its people with the Bucharest Agreement in 1913 and Versailles Conference in 1918,

We know that Macedonia is a fatherland to all Macedonians everywhere around the world,

We are convinced that the cultural and historical inheritance of Macedonia and Macedonians are a special ethnic entity and are part of the foundations of European and world civilization,

We make efforts Macedonia to be a state where all citizens have equal rights before the Constitution and laws regardless of sex, race, ethnic and social origin, political or religious affiliation, wealth or social position,

We start from the Constitution which gives a guarantee for freedom to the citizens of Republic of Macedonia when they associate to protect their national, political, economic, cultural and other rights and persuasions,

We are determined to defy violent destruction of constitutional system in Macedonia and we are against induction of military aggression or any national , ethnic , racial or religious hatred and intolerance,

We are determined to take over state power and local self-management of Republic of Macedonia ; to take part in public functions in the country; to take part in elections for President of Republic of Macedonia, delegates in the Parliament of Republic of Macedonia (Sobranie na RM) and election proceedings for representatives in bodies of local self-management ; and to take part in authorities.

The Inaugural Meeting of Macedonian Alliance established the following program goals on 14th January 1996

We respect the territorial integrity, inseparability and inalienable territory of Republic of Macedonia.

We respect the inviolability of the existing borders of Republic of Macedonia.

We provide equality of citizens under the Constitution and laws.

We promote protection of human rights and liberties.

We care about the rights and position of Macedonian people i.e. Macedonian minorities living in the neighboring countries and the world and we offer affirmation and protection of Macedonian ethic, linguistic, cultural, religious, historical and state identity, continuity and heritage.

We provide Macedonian citizenship to all people in the world of Macedonian origin.

We care about position and conditions of Macedonian Orthodox Church; we offer help, protection and affirmation of the independence of the Macedonian Orthodox Church; ex-territorial position of Macedonian Orthodox Church and create conditions to renovate Macedonian Church Patriarchy.

Repatriate Macedonians - immigrants from Macedonia.

We care about religious identity , position and rights of Macedonians with Mohammed persuasion in Macedonia and neighboring countries - Torbesi, Gorani i Pomaci , who present inseparable part of Macedonian people.

We undertake measures and activities to protect the position and rights of Macedonians in the local self-managing units where the members of the ethnic minorities and groups are majority or more than them.

We undertake measures and activities to protect the position and rights of members of ethnic minorities and groups in accordance with international conventions and financial abilities of Republic of Macedonia.

We lead restrictive immigration policy towards foreigners when using the right to acquire Macedonian citizenship, in accordance with Law for citizenship of Republic of Macedonia.

We strengthen the role of Macedonia as a key factor of peace and stability on the Balkans and Europe.

The relations between the neighboring and other countries for all questions of mutual interest will be built by Republic of Macedonia in a peaceful way, with negotiations about each question of common interest equally based and with mutual respect, no interference in the internal affairs, inviolability of borders, no attacks, no territorial pretensions and development of good neighboring relations, all in interest of peace, stability and cooperation on the Balkans and Europe.

We induce Balkans cooperation and talks about every question of common interest and calling and establishing Organization for Balkans Security and Cooperation in the frames of Organization for European Security and Cooperation.

We consider Macedonia an active member in the Organization of United Nations and other international bodies, organizations and associations.

We associate Macedonia as an active member in the European Union and other European and international integration systems.

We induce the policy of open borders for free flow of ideas, capital, information and people.

We provide professional members in the military powers of Macedonia.

We include Macedonia in the European and international systems fro collective security and Macedonian membership in NATO and Partnership for Peace.

We undertake the action to make Macedonia a member in each international organization and community under its unique and historical name Macedonia , as an equal member and successor of former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

We want reconstruction and development of Macedonia.

We make the national program for geological researches and exploitation of mines and ores.

We induce development of undeveloped and developing regions.

We want to protect national production.

We offer development of manufacturing companies.

We offer development of healthy food production.

We want agrarian reform, restructuring of agricultural and industrial mills, returning the deprived land to the previous owners (in the period from 2nd Aug.1944), stimulating migration of young people towards the villages.

We want to adopt national program for organized planned agrarian production, tilling of soil, purchase and supply on domestic and foreign markets.

We want to develop cattle-breeding.

We want to revitalize villages.

We want to develop energy production and affirmation of other alternative energy sources (wind, solar energy, coal etc.)

We want to accomplish complete gass pipeline in Macedonia.

We want to build Vardar valley and other rivers flow.

We want to build oil pipelines Thessaloniki- Skopje, Drach-Skopje and Burgas- Varna- Skopje.

We plan to connect the electrical system of Macedonia with electrical systems of neighboring countries.

We plan to connect the traffic systems of east-west, along with development of the corridor north- south (highway, railway, air and telecommunication systems).

We plan to accomplish the project - Macedonia - a customs-free zone.

We plan to reconstruct infrastructure.

We want to develop rational and optimal usage of water potential, reconstruction and maintenance of existing ameliorative systems, accumulation dams and artificial lakes and water power plants.

We want to intensify scientific and technological and technical development.

We plan to stimulate clean industry.

We want to determine attractive system of foreign investments and capital with parallel economy system - import to enable export and induce investing by Macedonians who are immigrants from Macedonia.

We plan to make a reform of the tax system with cheap, l educated and high professional tax administration and low tax rates.

We plan to promote ecological protection system of nature and environment thus making ecologically clean environment.

We plan to enlarge the number of national parks and areas.

We want to make afforesting more dynamic on the whole territory of Macedonia.

Return of the trust of people in the institutions of the system and state authorities.

Ruling of law and legal state.

We want independent and high professional judiciary.

We plan to rationalize, reorganize, standardize and computerize state management and provide expert, high professional, rational, cheap and productive state administration.

Defining public interest, making public services, institutions and enterprises better.

We shall fight criminal, terrorism, corruption in state administration, drugs, illicit trade with weapons, atomic waste and poisons.

Prohibition of trade with human body parts and people.

We want to organize active and humane population and demographic policy.

We want no monopolizing of market and social activities.

We want fair privatization and investigation of the up-date transformation of state ownership.

Denationalize previously deprived private property and returning it back to its owners (property taken from 2nd Aug.1944 until today).

Rehabilitate individuals who were driven into exile, imprisoned and put on trial for their ideas of independence of Macedonian people and state, i.e. for the ideas of VMRO (Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization).

Reprogram and rebuild the internal and external state debt.

We want to restructure and rebuild the banking system as an only prerequisite for restructuring ownership relations.

Returning the taken foreign currency back to the citizens and the trust in the banking system of the country.

Reform of the education system on all levels.

Free primary health care.

We plan to rationalize , restructure, standardize and reform of health care system and Health Care Fund.

We will provide minimal public welfare guaranteed by the state.

We plan to provide social security and protection for the citizens according to the principle of social justice.

We will provide minimal pension guaranteed by law, reduce the differences between pensions, reform and restructure of the Fund for Pensions and Handicapped People Benefits and create conditions for private funds under the law.

Provide special protection of handicapped people and conditions for them to take an active part in social activities.

We plan to provide special protection of children without parents and children without parental care.

Protection and affirmation of Macedonian cultural and historical heritage and the whole ehno-historical territory of Macedonian people and cultural and historical monuments on the territory of Macedonia.

We plan to develop professional sport , mass sport and top sport.

We want freedom of the informative space and stimulate private media.

We want direct referendum where people will come out for all questions about strategic, national and state interest in Macedonia.
